Eric Schiffer of the 99 Cents Only stores, in addition to being a Harvard Business School graduate, actor, book author and a business mastermind is also a party animal. His jet-setting lifestyle is a subject of much public scrutiny. This article examines Eric Schiffer’s many social forays, including his equal affection for parties and charities.

Schiffer, thanks to his entrepreneurial, social and acting abilities is a red carpet regular. The fifty year old is often seen in swathe suits, accompanied by his beautiful cars and a bevy of eager socialites. Eric Schiffer is often seen at various parties that the Hollywood Hills and the Californian Coast, at large, is famous for. A shoo-in for VIPs only events, he is also Paris Hilton’s preferred guest for her coveted private parties. He was photographed with a happy Paris Hilton at the VIPs only viewing of the musical ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch ‘in 2006, paving way for hundreds of tabloid pictures featuring them.

Eric Schiffer’s social merit does not end at his ability to rub shoulders with fellow socialites. Apart from being the author of a successful business and management book titled Emotionally Challenged Learning, he is also deeply involved with several charities. For example, along with actress Bettina Bush, he is involved with the Hollywood Benefit by AIDS Healthcare Foundation. He has also been a close associate of Global Green USA. Additionally, he has also been actively involved with the Human Rights Campaign since the year 2006. He also attended the World Economic Forum held in Davos. Eric was also involved with the Hollywood’s ‘Adopt a School’ event which garnered much publicity. When celebrity Lance Bass decided to relaunch his mission in space, Schiffer was chosen to negotiate with Russian leaders. Schfiffer is seen at as many, if not more, fundraisers and charity causes as Hollywood parties. Although he comes across as disinterested and aloof in some of his paparazzi pictures, he puts everyone’s doubts to rest when he stands up to speak at a public event.

Eric Schiffer presents the image of a fun but responsible business tycoon; he doesn’t shy away from partying while remaining sensitive towards the world’s woes. The solutions he proposes to social issues like AIDS awareness tend to follow a systematic team work approach, possibly reminiscent of his 99 Cents Only business model. A man who chooses activity to passivity, Schiffer makes his fellow businessmen wonder if moneymaking can be as enjoyable as he makes it seem.
